I recently purchased a 2 bottom little genius plow. my question is do they still make the plow points for it they are in good shape just worried if i break one and cant replace it. thanks Ed

This plow could be ordered with many different types of bottoms, you will need to find out what bottoms are on your plow. One way is to look for part numbers on the plow share.

Ed,
I also have a #8 and use it for plow days and take it to shows.. And I also worry about breaking a point. But I adjusted the hitch spring real loose so the hitch would release
, then tightened it back so I could plow. I just hope the hitch lets go if I do hit something. There are points for sale, but if you ever see another #8 "in the weeds" buy it for a parts plow.

Agrisupply has them. Along with ebay. I have been plowing with mine a few years and I have hit plenty of rocks, nothing has broken yet, the hitch has always released.

Yes, the Little Genius could be ordered with many different bottoms, but in my experience MOST of them have the old quick-change "blacksmith" style shares that are NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

Even "Plow Chief" style parts are tough to come by. Agrisupply has the points, but nothing else, and the points are made in China with stereotypical Chinese quality control.

Someone will inevitably mention Crescent Forge, but they have been out of business for several years now, even though their website was still up last time I checked. Last I heard, the tooling was purchased by an Amish business that intended to start producing plow parts again. Here's hoping.

I was surprised to see them, but the seller did say he only had a limited amount, and there probably would be no more. It makes my New, old stock ones look pretty good now. I will have to put them, and my NOS shares, in the photo ads one day, tired of them sitting here.

quote]i recently brought home a#8 2-12 with points that have two bolts. One has a hook on it to pull the point tight from behind.i believe this is called "blacksmith point " . One landslide is cracked , can parts for this plow be purchased still?[/quote]
