(no need to even remove the muffler if you prop the hood and avoid collateral damage from sheet metal where it does not belong. The belt can be worked over the fan blade. The effort to get it over the fan belt is the difficult part. One way to avoid the need to back off the water pump pulley to remove the fan belt to allow the new gen belt to be installed. I should replace the belt on my BN Farmall and that link style looks like an easy way to go. It strikes me as something I'd be forever looking at every time I drove the tractor.
