Dont know what it is and would like to have some idea so I can know what to offer them. Has not run for years just because they dont need it. If anybody might have a guess at what it is, if it would be gas or diesel and what it might be worth, not running? Buddy thought the tires were ok but one rear is flat. Also thought it had a three-point. Think it would be a great loader tractor for me over adding a PTO pump and power steering to my M. Thanks! [Reply]   [No Email]

Probably a 574 judging from the tire size. The 6 had the extra drop-center rims for the 18.4-30 tires. (even same style rims for the 16.9-30s). Hence shown are 574 rims.   [Reply]  [No Email]

I initially thought it would be scrap value plus some for the loader but guess its good I asked! My friend said it was running a few years ago and has been sitting inside since; they just dont need it. I was initially hoping it was gas but it doesnt sounds like getting a diesel going again should be too difficult either. The model decal is clearly there on the side of the hood, and would appear to be readable. $2000 is a steal in any condition. If it's a diesel it probably won't take much to get running besides checking the oil, putting in a new battery, and hitting the starter button. That's a 2050 loader AFAIK, a pretty nice modern loader.   [Reply]  [No Email]

If it is a 3 cylinder it could be 454 or a couple other models. I would expect it to be the 74 series. I have only seen a few 454's they sold a lot more of the 74 series. They are a very nimble loader . The swept back axle is what makes it that way. The front end is a bit light for loader work though. We have had one since new in 72 changed lots of spindles. Currently have 1466 spindles in it. seems to hold up now.   [Reply]  [No Email]
IHFORDFARMER 12-03-2012 03:23:42 136.224.213.4 Report to Moderator	Re: Possible tractor ID in reply to IAtractorKid, 12-02-2012 21:52:36   I think its a 574, if not its a 74 series tractor, It looks to be a diesel, but I cant see the engine real good, so if you see a carb on it, then you'll know your answer, its a gas. they are great little tractors for loader work, we had 3 574 diesels over the years. not running i would think about 2000 is all its worth. Live pumps for them are obviously better than the belly pump but still leave alot to be desired in terms of GPM output and loader speed. Loader I have now is too big for the SH its on so its getting switched to the M if I dont get it sold. SH has M&W Live hydraulics which are VERY similar to the live hydraulics available for an M and the loader is VERY slow, empty or loaded.   [Reply]  [No Email]
