One from a farmall 300 would work on a farmall 400 or 450. Parts that mount to the frame rails may need adjusted or modified to work due to the width difference in the frame rails between tractors. Hydraulic pressure should be close to the same for both tractors. 400 tractors are considered low pressure hydraulic tractors. You can check the pressure at a port, but if low it won't pinpoint the cause without more checking. Lots of old 400 tractors will show a pressure between 1000 and 1150 PSI when hot if you are lucky. 1250 psi or a little higher great. If the loader has cylinders for the hydraulic pressure used you should be able to use it. Like said if it worked okay on a 300 using the IH engine driven pump it would work on a 400 or 450. If it used a pto pump or other type pump, maybe not.

There is also going to be a diferance in length . May have to put some spaces at the rear axle.
