404 clutch jumping

This one I just have to share. I had this real nice International 404 come into the shop to install a loader on it. when I was bringing it into the shop it was jumping, in any forward gear it would pop the front wheels off the ground. you could just not let the clutch out smooth. but in reverse it would work nice and smooth. so I am standing there scratching my head looking at the tractor thinking what in the world could be making this tractor do this, and then I see the answer.I see light between the clutch housing and the rear frame. the bolts were loose and the tractor was splitting at the bottom about a 1/8. the clutch pedal pivot is on the rear frame and when you went forward it would close up and move the clutch linkage or dump the clutch. real easy fix, but not a normal clutch problem.

Good find of a serious issue. Broken tractors from loaders can happen, with loose Bolts it would have happened soon. Jim
