International 706 Question

What is the cutoff point for the D282 for international 706? I keep reading that in November 1966 and S/N , 37237 was the start. But I see the last year, 1967 serial for international 706 was 5316 starting. What am I missing here. Was the D310 ever in an International 706 or was it all the D282??

'International' and 'Farmall' each have a different set of sn#s.International is the standard/wheatland version.Farmall is the rowcrop version and it also the most common. The 37xxx number(Farmall) is close to the switch. My '67 706 Farmall is SN 44xxx.It has the 310.In my humble opinion, the 310 is twice the engine than the 282 is...

This is from external_link nov. 1966 with serial number 37237 will be will have the german engine.

Yes 706 'I' and 'F' each got the 310 in '66.Do you own a 706?I've had mine since '84.It has 10,000hrs on it.(aftermarket)Turbocharged to96 hp.I updated the shifters to the '56'style.It's probably my favorite tractor.

The Farmall serial number break is as posted before, 37236 - 37237. The International break occurred between 5273 and 5274.
