A Farmall H is one of the most numerous tractors ever produced. The earliest ones 39 and early 40 are the only ones that differ in major components. They have PTO (non live) they (mostly) have hydraulics, and they can be equipped with a wide variety of mounted and pull type equipment, from corn pickers, to plows.
In power, they are a 2-14 tractor in all but extreeme clay. in loam or lite soil they will pull 2-16. Super H farmalls are of 2 varieties: early (till mid 53) were identical in most respects to the H with more power, and disk brakes. Later SH had live Hydraulics added. SH tractors do well with 2-16s or 3-14 in lite soil.
They are very handy rowcrop tractors and have been considered indespensible on many farms. Jim
