If the 400 cam is in the same condition as whats called a 450 one there's no need to change. About 1/3 of the 450 engines used the same cam as a 400. Then IH decided to put left hand threads on them for the cam nut. Special cam grind could make more power if matched to your needs. [Reply]  [No Email]
