| They did make W-4 tractors in 53 but you are not lucky enough to have one, its a 50 model. H engine block works, even a SH if installing new pistons and sleeves. Farmall 300 and 350 block can also be used without much work. |

| For just a block install pistons and sleeves for a C169 and C175 engine. Need to buy the high priced piston pin bushings to put in the 4 rods. Unless you find some C169 pistons left around that use the bigger piston pin then the adapter bushings wouldn't be needed. Install 4 parts in or on the rest of the block. If using dome type pistons check the piston to head clearance with the 4 head. Complete farmall 300 or 350 engine. Change the rear engine plate, front engine cover and the steel plate behind the cover unless it already like the 300, 350 one. Need the engine serial to know that. Also sometimes you can find a front cover on non W4 engines that will work with the 4 front engine support. Run a hose from the valve cover opening to the air intake pipe. Fit the choke rod to the 300 carburetor. Install W4 fan blad. With a original generator you need to change the generator belt length. |
