IH Windbreaker Question

I just picked up an IH Windbreaker for free that was used on an International 3088. I"m wondering if they are a "one-size fits all" kind of thing and if it will work on a Farmall M. Since I don"t have any money in it, I won"t be too disappointed if it doesn"t fit. Thanks for the help.

Almost all canvas type systems can be customized to fit. Cut as needed and pin together with "T" pins. Join with urethane door and window sealer and let set for 24 hours. Brackets and hardware are usually adaptable to be sturdy. Make attachments rigid so that the components do not flop around. Also make sure the canvas does not get tangled or intrud into the pedals. Canvas used under the tractor to "close the bottom is often very helpful in keeping you warm. Jim

Why dont you just "throw it on"?That way you can find out, cut, trim, adjust as needed.I ran a HeatHouser from a JD 720 pony start diesel on my SM for years.Had to quit useing it when the shed it was stored in burned. If not for that,it would probably be on the SM right now....

It is most likely vinyl so not as nice to modify. It will have a door on the left side but that can be altered to make it solid. Can't lose anything except time making it fit.

Ultimately, no, they are not a one-size-fits-all thing. It was more like one-size-fits-some, another-size-fits-some-more, etc..

The 3088 version is likely much much larger than necessary for an M.

Like the other guys said, though, since it was free you've got nothing to lose by trying.

Really, it should work with minimal modification. I wouldn't cut the vinyl. I would figure out a way to gather it up to keep it out of the tires.
