| The SM is silk-screened on the tag, not stamped, but basically, yes to your question.
A regular M will have FBK on the serial tag. |

| Letters SM will be near the top left corner looking at the serial tag the way you would read it on a super M. Serial number and its prefix and sufix letters will be on a different level than the SM or SMD if a diesel. If a S follows the serial number on the same level it may be a super MTA. LP tractors can also have letters. |

| | A true Super M serial number will begin with either SM or L depending in which plant it was assembled (SM = Rockford; L = Louisville). Bear in mind there are MANY regular M tractors around with Super M decals applied. Buyer beware! |
