Cub lo-boy front end

On my "58 lo boy the left tie rod has the ball facing up into the steering gear arm, the right (as you face the tractor) has the ball facing down. I have seen other lo boys with the arms set up the opposite way. I can"t tell from my parts manual which is correct. Anybody know?

They should cross over. That is, the left one attaches to the right side of the center arm and the right one attaches to the left side.

Yes, they should cross each other. If yours cross over to the opposite side of the steering arm, then it is correct.

The reason for this is to get the proper turning angles for each wheel so the tractor turns smoothly without the front tires hopping. Ackermann geometry, I think it's called.
