front weights

Do any old tractor parts suppliers offer reproduction front frame weights for H"s, M"s, 300"s, etc?
Thanks for any help.

Not that I'm aware of.

It took me two years of looking to find a set then found another set the next month. Didn't really need 2nd set but because they are so rare I bought them anyway.

Thanks. I was afraid of that, but it was worth a shot. The cost of manufacture must be too high, but I would think there would be a market. There are reproduction John Deere front weights available for fifty's model John Deere's. Looks like there would be a market for Farmall front weights.

Here's the dilemma.

I spent 2 years traveling the lower 48, in the course of my business in an 18 wheeler, checking every green sheet, penny saver, craigslist etc etc etc. till I found the 1st set for $500. Choked on that as I counted out the cash. I rationalized that I probably spent hundreds in the search if not more and was ready to be done with looking for them. That was just the cost of the weights.

I'll preface the rest of this story with the fact that I give sellers the 3rd degree about load zoned roads/bridges, low bridges, low wires, no truck signs etc. I'm in an 18 wheeler!!! Can I get into your place and turn around etc etc etc. I'l also say I take full responsibility as I was driving.

I incurred a $500 ticket after going down a road that was zoned no trucks. Flat missed the sign. MY bad but I didn't figure it out till I was committed. Local LEO had no sense of humor.

Lost a day after hitting some low hanging wires. No money this time as the Sheriffs deputy agreed that they were too low and they should have been higher. Sure pizzed off the locals in KY seeing a TX semi on a back road and being without phone and cable tv.

I found the second set in the course of finding and buying a C251 fast hitch planter and negotiated that set @ $300 about a month later. Like I said I didn't really need them but seemed like a deal.

That particular trip the Gentleman told me no way on getting in there with a truck. He had no equipment to get it too me or get it on the truck. I spent $180 on a roll off wrecker driver to come get me at the truck stop take me to his place. We cut the deal loaded the planter and weights and got it back to my truck.

Now based on all that what would YOU pay me for my set or find you some?

Think someone maybe 15 years ago was selling aftermarket ones. Can't remember who. Don't know of anyone now.
Would guess low overall demand and the cost of shipping to make them a unattractive investment.
Thinking the same vender was selling front wheel weights also. Can picture seeing some at a national IH auction or show one time. Way my memory is getting I can't be positive though.
