What is everyone else using to preserve original paint tractors, i have used linseed oil in the past, any other good mixes or suggestions out there?

What I am using is a product made in France. Owatrol Oil I wish it were more readily available in this country. A fair substitute may be Penetrol Flood that you can get at paint stores.

I keep a good stock of cheap multi-purpose spray lube, generic forms of WD-40. My little Blue Ribbon F-Cub gets hosed down in it every month or two. I've also used a tab bit of off road diesel and automatic trasnmission fluid...makes the red, more red.

I know of a yellow Rambler that looks like new. The old lady whiped it down with kerosene every six months. It was obviously original and unbelievable.

That has always stuck in my mind.

I sprayed it straight from the can. It drys in 24 hrs. The Flood product I have used too but it takes several days to fully dry.
