Here's a picture I took just this morning of my 350 getting a workout with a 2x14" IH tumble plow. I was going about 10" deep and in our tight clay it was all the tractor wanted.

I have a 2-14" IH #8 and it's all my 300 and SH want in my soil. Mostly clay. It will pull in 1st gear turning new sod and 2nd in perviously plowed ground.

Kind of depends on your soil and how much you plan to plow. If you have easy plowing soil, not too deep and maybe only a few acres, you could get by, otherwise you will be better off with 2x16" or 3x14". Dad pulled a 3x14" in easy plowing with an H with SH sleeves and pistons for a couple of years, and it was all it would handle. He traded for a 460 and then traded the 3x14 for a 3x16".... the 16" was right for the 460.

Depends on the soil type and how deep. Think thats to much plow for hard pulling ground at full depth.

In sandy soil, or light loam, yes. It is really the max that can be expected. Jim
