Farmall MD Aux Fuel filter

Putting an MD back together and discovered that I do not have a top flange for the auxillary fuel filter which is the one that looks like a spool of yarn. This part is not available from IH so I am wondering if anyone has an alternative solution for this. Maybe it is available as aftermarket or the same part from another tractor will work. Any help appreciated.

You will have to look in a salvage yard. Try Bates corp or any salvage yard. 400 and 450 are differnet I believe.

I have tried that on a WD-9 which uses the same filters. The cast iron base is milled differently for the auxiliary filter. If you put a primary filter in there it fits loose in the base and does not seal the bottom of the filter correctly.

Sorry looked about a hour today and couldn't find them. Removed some from tractors in a salvage yard years ago to have some extra ones.
Probably stumble on them sometime when not looking.

i ran into this last year on our wd 9 and found these parts numbers that might help. on the tractors that use 2 of the same filters you need 2 fleetguard FF126 or napa/wix 3148 and that is the one of the filters and the other is a fleetguard ff137 or napa/wix 3147 when it has two different filters.
