I need to change the front axel on my cub and the replacement looks like I have everything I need, just take the tie rods loose and then wondering what all the do's and dont's and best way to remove the pivot pin in the middle. Would appreciate hearing from those of you who have done this. Thanks in advance. |

| Use plenty of blocks, cribbing, etc.Dont rely on a single small bottle jack.It will hurt or kill you if it falls on you!BE safe!! |

| A Cub may be a small tractor but it will still hurt if it falls on you. You will have the front end suspended in the air with nothing underneath it for a while, so be careful.
The pivot pin should push out easily, because it's usually worn and well lubricated from oil leaking out of the steering gearbox.
None of it is rocket science. Lift the front, remove the pin, roll the old front end out, roll the new one in, and replace the pin. Drop the front, and drive away. |

More than likely it will push out easily. |
