| Where are you getting "FC" from?
If it's off the serial tag, that is the normal prefix for an AMERICAN Farmall C or Super C.
If the serial is <100,000 it is a C.
If the serial is >100,000 it is a Super C.
If the FC is on the hood decal, then you have French C. |

| Just get a manual the fc is just part of the serial# used on all Cs You need the serial # on the plate then check that# with cast codes which appear all over the tractor as you have now way knowing is the seat base has been changed after all its over 50 yrs young. |

| A french FC will most likely have a 3point hitch and is rare here in the US. If a C or Super C they are common, but great tractors. In great shape with good 80 to 90% tires, they can be worth 2500. If french, I would think maybe 3500, but that is a guess not based on experience. Jim |

| Several hundred posts on this forum in the archives, what do you want to know? Price depends on condition probably as low as 4-$500, no more than 15-$1700 unless in exceptional condition. I have 2 I paid about $1550+/- each. |

| There is a French C which is similar, not exact. However if you are looking at the model designation on the serial tag that says FC, that is a C made in the US--they all used that designation. |

| I have never seen one, only pictures. The main difference in the link is the position of the lights. It is possible but very unlikely the one you are looking at is French, otherwise it would be advertised that way. |

| I have to look into this further. I just had bought it. Haven't picked it up yet. It's a narrow front end. It's a super c I assume. It has a hydraulic pump mounted below the distributor |

| They all had hydraulic pumps. The SC has curved clutch and brake pedals, the C has straight. The SC has disk brakes meaning a cast cover, the C has band brakes with a metal cover. The serial number of the C has no more than 5 numbers, the serial of the SC has 6. There is very little space between the top of the hyd reservoir and the gas tank of the C, significant clearance between the reservoir and the gas tank on the SC, which has a taller radiator and grill, etc. |
