j hakenwerth 09-18-2012 06:28:37 72.161.135.50 Report to Moderator	I have found some used tires for my H. The man says they are rice tires and are hard. I have never heard of Rice tires? If they are hard does that mean they are bad? He also has a set of Firestone on wheels, he says halph price of new, he says look good I have not seen them. What do you think? As rusty said, the rubber has hardened making the tire very stiff. Hard is a BAD thing when you're trying to get the tires on/off the rims. The rubber can crack while you're flexing the tire, trying to pry it on to the rim. Depends on how hard is hard, whether they're worth buying or not. Different people have different ideas of hard. The tire could be a little stiff, or as brittle as glass. [Reply]  [No Email]

"Hard" in my opinion, means the tires have been around long enough for the rubber to age and "harden up". It is a good thing. [Reply]  [No Email]
