I have a question regarding the chains I use every year on the super c. I purchased place a few years back and the driveway has needed a good sealcoat job since long before we bought it. I am looking to sealcoat next week. The way to the barn requires driving over a portion of the driveway which would need to be driven on about twice a week. Question is, would the chains tear up the asphalt instantly or would it still look decent after a few years? |

| Around here I run chains on the tractor from the end of october to the end of april and dont worry bout the blacktop. The chains only make slight marks on it. The snowplow truck has chains on it too! Kinda tough to tell which marks are mine an which ones the township made with the plow. Kippster |

| I sealcoat mine and use chains, lasts about 3-5 years. I think the sun does more damage than the chains. |

| If the asphalt has snow or ice on it it would have very little effect, but there are bound to be times in the winter when it will be bare. The town road runs right through the yard here so I drive on it with chains and while it does leave marks they are not deep and they fade away over the summer each year. Zach |
