Amos F 09-09-2012 07:34:49 67.58.200.73 Report to Moderator	I am working on a double disk opener drill. I have managed to free up one of the disk openers butt from looking in the hubcap hole for the bearings I am unable to tell exactly how it is supposed to come apart. I can find no where on the drill a model number but the seed rate chart is in pecks not bushels and there are four doors that open on the top. One set of doors open for the seed and the other for fertilizer. Is there any one familiar with this drill that could advise me on the availability of bearings and the way to disassemble to replace them if available. [Reply]   [No Email]

My Dad brought it home and thought he wanted to plant 4 acres of cover crop with it. I have a few of them apart now thanks to the left hand thread. I don"t think he is going to spend a small fortune on bearings for something that will never get used again. My finger hurts form hitting it with a hammer while working on the drill...project can wait...ouch [Reply]  [No Email]

What you're seeing under the hubcap is actually the retainer bolt with a T-shaped head, depending on how old it is. They simply unscrew. Well, it WOULD be simple if it weren't for the copious amounts of Lock-Tite used on them. Just remember that the bolts on the left are left-hand thread. [Reply]  [No Email]
