alderman 09-05-2012 19:37:09 75.104.96.54 Report to Moderator	I picked up a farmall h today with an after market 3 point. I have attached a couple pics showing how they had it hooked up. The pump I"m assuming provides live power to the hydraulic cylinder. My question is to how it is piped up. There is only one line feeding the cylinder and I would assume that a second return line would be needed to enable the hitch to go down. Has anyone ever seen this set up and if so...how should it be set up so as to provide up and down movement of the hitch set up. [Reply]   [No Email]

You have to hold the lever in the up or down position to make it move because it is spring loaded to the neutral position. Hydraulic power up; gravity down. Allan [Reply]  [No Email]

I'm just trying to figure out the pump now to see if there is a better way than what is there. We are wanting to use a "pull behind" brush hog on this and keep the 3 point set up on it as well. The hog is my father in laws and used hdraulics to raise and lower the deck only. An thoughts on how this could be done? [Reply]  [No Email]

The bars should be used for pulling all implements that are not 3 point. THe belly pump is in the belly of the tractor, and has fittings on both sides. ignore the left side rear fitting as it is a delayed action port. The other two are connected internally, and both are one way hydraulics like the pump now mounted to the engine. The clutch must be out for the belly pump to work. it takes 6 quarts to fill (right side under tank, looks like a big knob) Hytran, or 20 wt non detergent engine oil will work, or what ever is in the tractor now used on the hog to prevent crossing fluids. The rod on the right of the light bar is for the pump. Pull out is lift, push in to the detent on the rod, hold, lift and push farther, lower. Jim [Reply]  [No Email]

It will also not go down easily even then. It may take a bit of persuasion to get it freed up if it has been stationary for a while. It is a commercial 3 pt, with an unknown pump. It will do fine. The lever pulled down should allow fluid to go back through the same hose as was used to lift. Jim [Reply]  [No Email]

I can stand on the hitch and it will not go down. This one is new to me so I am wanting to learn as much as I can. Picked the whole thing up for a couple old guns on trade. Runs like a top.
