Was there any differance in a 660 verse 560 horse power. Or was a 660 a wheatland & a 560 was a row crop. Thanks Gerald |

| | 560 was made in Wheatland (Standard) configuration as well as Farmall. 660 was only Standard. The 660 used a radiator that was 3" taller. That required a cast iron filler spacer and extensions on the dog legs. There is also a 1.25" spacer to raise the front of the fuel tank. The rear half used different wheels, rims. tires, and axles. Engines were identical except the injection pump was set to a higher RPM. All 660s used the planetary PTO to get the right 540 ratio due to the higher engine RPM. Guessing that the factory didn't want to cut and stock a new gear set. But it could have been that there was no room for a larger PTO driven gear. Think the differential gears were changed but I am not going to look it up. |

| the 660 was more horse power but only because the engine ran 600 rpm faster 1800 vs 2400. 660 only came in wheathland style and also had planetary rear axle. so really just a 560 standard on steroids. |

| I'm pretty sure if you go looking they had different timing and fuel delivery quantity, Can't remember if they were bigger plungers or not. |
