I just ordered a replacement exhaust manifold and pipe to the muffler for a 460 gas I am restoring. The exhaust outlet on the manifold is the same as far as from to rear goes, pretty much in line with #2 cylinder, but sets out from the head about a couple inches farther. Will have to revamp the pipe hole in the hood. Also, the new threaded exhaust pipe that screws in the manifold is considerably larger that the muffler won't fit over it. Has anyone else encountered this? |

| Thanks for the advice! Have ordered the outlet adaptor and the 2 inch pipe. Hope it works without altering hood. Looks like the answer in the picture. Did you use a gasket when installing the adaptor? |

| | ITS THE RIGHT PART --AS OTHERS INDICATED BUT THEY ALSO FIT THE 460-06 MODELS- EVEN WITH THE OFF SET IT STILL REQUIRES SOME TIN WORK. I PUT ONE ON AND IT HAD A HOLE IN THE CASTING--SENT BACK FOR ANOTHER ONE. AS SOMEONE MENTIONED YOU NEED TO WORK ON THE CASTING TO GET THE HEAT RISER TO WORK CORRECTLY AND OR BOLT ON RIGHT. WISH I LOOKED FOR AN ORIGINAL USEABLE ONE OR SPENT THE MONEY ON IH PARTS. FOUND A COUPLE FOR ABOUT 1,000. THEY WERE NOT AFTERMARKET! I'M RUNNING INTO TROUBLE GETTING MINE TO RUN JUST RIGHT--I'M THINKING MY RICH MOTOR ISSUES ARE RELATED TO THE AFTERMARKET INTAKE/EXHAUST. I HAVE STARTED LOOKING AROUND FOR A USED NON- AFTERMARKET ONE. IF I FIND A GOOD ONE THE OTHER WILL GO TO THE SCRAP PILE! |

| One size fits all, and not very well often times I might add. I am putting a complete new intake and exhaust manifold on a 70 hydro. The heat riser is all screwed up and I am reworking it to get it where it belongs. Rough looking castings also. First one came broken counter weight in shipping but I never checked to see if it was assembled correctly. |

| they make a adaptor to move pipe to correct place and sise. Using this adaptor you wont have to modifiy your hood. that can be found on ebay usually cost arround $50.00 dollars. |

| You have the wrong parts. Your 460 is the same basic block as many other larger form factor Farmalls. The parts people need to send the correct manifold. Do not butcher up the tractor to cure the parts issue. Jim |

| To my knowledge these replacement manifolds only come in one size and that is what the later 06 series and the pipe is a 2 1/2 inch size not the two inch that 460-560's came with. Don't ya just love aftermarket . |
