 I have the tag of the gen that was being discussed below. I stated it wrong originally, the gen has 2 brushes not 3. The A terminal does not have continuity to the F terminal or to the wires that are exposed in the case. Some of the wiring inside lost it insulation so rewiring and new field windings are due for sure. |

| What you have is most likely already a 12 volt generator. since you do not have a Delco Remy model number you can most likely match up what fields you need by measuring the inside dimensions of the field coil winding and matching the way the wires are connected to the coils.
I did a little more research on you generator. I was a bit off with the company name. The company was called Unit Parts Company, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It looks like they were bought up by Remy International Corporation. Doing a search on their web site returns as obsolete any generator part numbers that I entered. |
