finially got it running the firing order on the block is wrong the one in the maual is dirrent than the block but is correct after new plugs wires and the right order runs like a champ |

| Bet your not looking at things as they should be. Front to back the cylinders are 1,2,3,4 as in #1 up by the radiator and #4 back close to the seat. Also one needs to spin the engine over to see and be 100% sure which way the distributor turns. Not likely that the number on the block are wrong but very likely your looking at things wrong |

| Maybe you are looking the wrong way around on the distributor cap so then the order would be 1243. I would certainly doubt the block would be stamped wrong. All IH four cylinders engines were 1342 but some others like Allis Chalmers for instance, use 1243. |

| Number one cylinder is the one that is the closest to the radiator. Number four would be next to the flywheel. 1342 is the firing order that has been used by IH for years on 4 cylinder engines. If you have something different please post pictures. |

| You must have a very valuable tractor with the wrong firing order. 1342 is whats supposed to be there so what does yours say. Tell us as thats a new one. |
