I hate to even ask this, but will a md head fit a super md? I was asked this the other day and said no, but got to thinking, my gas m has been overhauled and bored out years ago when I was a kid and Dad said it was like a sm. Possible or not. So will a md head fit a smd? |

If he was the buyer he should have known better anyhow. If it was a 9 head I would take it! Now that I have one 9 they seem to be easier to find. I found one with a bad head for $800 last weekend. |

| SFlem I agree the buyer needs to be educated. I also feel sellers who normally deal in used parts should be responsible in representing and identifying their parts accurately. I've ran into more then one seller mainly on ebay that state the part fits something when it does not. As a buyer if, someone does not have a parts book or the part being sold does not have a part number it can be tough. Now I'm not talking about the individual who sells the occasional part. In that case the seller should let them know like was done in this case that he did not know. What I would have done is take the guys number and get back to him or tell him buyer be ware. |

| | I did a whole lot of research on this a few years ago. I have a Super MD with a late MD head, I was going to replace it cause i thought it would have more power with a Super head or 400D head. After searching and help from D Slater on here it was confirmed they have the same specs. The only change is in the late 450D heads are cast thicker internally to resist cracking. Performance and fit are all the same. Andrew |
