My touch controll has not been right since I got the tractor several years ago. It leaks hytran into the crank case and that has gotten worse recently. I replaced the seal but the shaft is so worn it didn't help. Also it sounds like it is running the hydraulics all the time. I found brass(?) shavings in the resivour and inspection of the pump shows a lot of wear on all the parts. I plan to replace the pump ($600 form IH) but want to repair the rest of it first. I bought a pressure gauge and a touch controll manual but the manual isn't clear on where to install the gauge for testing. Is it in a hole behind the battery box? That seems a dumb place to put it, how would you run the tractor to perform the tests without a battery? Or is it on the left side, there are three or more holes there. Anyone ever done this or know where the gauge goes? I hope so as I will most likely have more questions as I get into this.Thank you David |

| 2 steel pipes run from pump to the touch control box. the place to place the gauge is at the end of the pipes. remove a plug and install gauge. |
