Super A: Flow rate of hydraulic pump?

Does anyone know the flow rate (GPM) of the hydraulic pump on a Super A? I was thinking of tapping into the stock hydraulic system to add a remote to run a hydraulic motor on a mower. But I'm thinking that the stock pump may not have a high enough flow rate to drive the motor fast enough to cut grass. What do you think? How can I find out before investing the time and effort?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure the flow rate of a SA pump, but ifiit's like the C, SC, etc., it's probably in the 4 to 5gpm range at full throttle. Since a pump/motor hydraulic system is only about 75-80% efficient, that means you really only have about 3-4 gpm and a 3-4 gpm motor at 1500psi probably won't drive more than a 21" walking mower, no it won't work (pressure X flow divided by 1714 or 1500 X 4 / 1714 = 3.5hp.)

A belt Pulley, or PTO driven pump will work. Match the pump to the motor and all is well.
A simpler solution might be to put an engine on the mower. This allows the tractor to be throttled down and stopped while the mower still runs. A switch to shut it off from the operators station on the tractor is a good idea. Engines can be found for less than even one of the hydraulic pump/or motors. Jim

Thanks to all! You have saved me quite a bit of time and frustration, and, ultimately, disappointment. There's nothing worse than investing a lot of time and money into building a project, only to find, once it is complete, that it won't (and can't) work.
