Found a 624 on Craigslist. Never heard of one. Tractordata says made in Germany,58 horse.
Anybody know anything about them? Made lika a Swiss watch? Junk,stay away from it?

| | Hi, there were a few around the neighbourhood in the mid to late 60s until 74 Series was released. I believe there are 1 or 2 still around. They had D-206 Diesel engine which was used up until late 90s in 584,595 and 3230. JimB

| German made IH tractor, common in eastern Canada. As far as I know, they are fairly solid and reliable machine, but parts would be my main concern...1970's era tractor....and not really that common in North America as a whole.
If it has the Agriomatic (clutchless shuttle/powershift) trans that may get $$$ to fix if it goes.

| I guess parts availability would be one of the big things I'd be concerned about,whether or not a CaseIH dealer in Michigan would have very easy access to them.
Darndest thing is,it has a 10 year old Leon loader on it that's probably worth more than they're asking for the tractor and loader.

| Sounds like a "no brainer" then, if the tractor ever dies, sell the loader and recoup your investment...
