Im not a Farmall master technition or anything, I just have a Model C with a woods mower that I mow our acreage with, Only farmall I have. But the brakes are just about completely gone and I was wondering how much of a job is it to rebuild them, how long would it take a newbie to do it? maybe some tips on how to do it, or where to get new parts? Thanks everyone |

| If you go to 'caseih.com', search for parts and model would be farmall c, you will find a complete parts break down of the brakes and everything else.
I believe brake bands are available on this site or can be relined if the bands are not damaged.
have fun, it's not a big job.

| | if you replace the linings, make sure that they are riveted and not bonded. the bonded are no good for flexible bands. consider replacing oil seals when you do the brake job. if they are not leaking, maybe they will be o. k., the seals are a little devil to remove. you need a puller, but, it can be done other ways. recommend puller |

| Those are band brakes just take the cover off and they will be easy to replace. You will need to free up the linkage and the bottom screw is adjusted to keep some slack in the band so it seats better. Make sure someone hasnt up-graded to disc brakes. Disc brakes are a different type and installing is different. Just remove the cover and its easy to see which type you have. |
