1972 IH Cub, transmission shifter came off in my hand, have taken off cover, but just how does it fit back into the linkage? |

| The lever should be firmly attached (welded/pressed, don't recall) to the large hemispherical shaped part that is in the tower from the bottom side. You need to weld it back in place, at the correct height. There are more detailed explanations on farmallcub.com.

| The shifter has a horizontal through pin that should be replaced. A grade 8 bolt shank of the correct size is great. The tip needs to go back into the neutral slot in the rails (if it was in neutral when it came off) or into the slot that is out of alignment if it was in gear. Jim |
