Another OT 1949 KB5 Update - First drive under own power

I drove a KB5 while employed at a lumber yard in the late 1950s. I now remember the motor sound.
It will be impressive when you get those big bullet headlights on it.

I bought a low milage '47 KB-5 from the Govt when I was 17 in 1961. Ran it most everyday till '81 when I bought a new S1954 with 13sp Road Ranger and DT-466. That truck is now an antique.

The Green Diamond camshaft broke into about 4 pieces. Replaced engine with a 283 small block Chevy. Later replaced that with a 4-53 Detroit. It was one noisy MF. Haven't run it in about 15 years. It would make a nice tractor hauler.

I see that you are missing your left fender. I make them out of fiberglass and have one in stock.

That's the mold for the right side. Also have the long pieces that transition into the hood.
