Water in #3 cylinder...Farmall M

I figured out the carb, started it last night and it ran better than before! It came up to temp and stayed at around 160. Came back this morning to re-tighten head and reset valves, began to turn the motor over and water dumped out of the #3 cylindar, so im guessing a cracked block (a crack I could not see when I had it apart)?

I put it all back together, started the tractor and the water in the cylindar came out and the tractor ran great again with no water dumping out of the manifold, am I missing something, could it be a blown motor/cracked sleeve? (head is perfect)

Thanks for any advice guys, im a little upset so im going to walk away from it today and go look at another block we have in the M grave yard....

Did you re-torque the head after you had run it a few minute to get it warm or did you wait hours to do that again?? If you waited you may have a bad head gasket now because you need to re-torque the heads after a short run time not wait hours or days to do so

I would agree with Old, retorque should be done warm, I also would not jump and think it is a block until you check it out.

The head is perfect I had the machine shop check it out and the last time the gasket blew water was dumping into the #3 cylindar just like it is now and I checked the head bolts and they were still at 110lbs...
