706 trans filter

My 706 keeps plugging up the filter and screen with what looks like red paint. I think its all the paint coming loose from inside the trans. but I talked to a john deere friend of mine (yes I know thats were I messed up) and he said that paint will never come off. Has anyone had this problem or is somthing else coming apart inside.

Have you looked inside the transmission to see if it
is even painted red. More likely yellow. You could
be getting flakes from the pto discs or ta clutch
discs. I also have seen the linings on the hitch
bushings let loose and end up in the filter.
