On the right lower side of an F30 block, there is an 3/8 pipe thread (mine has an ell and short nipple). Is that coolant drain or something else? This is about the lower level of the sleeves. |

| Yes, it is the "Crankcase Breather." You may want to run a wire up it to make sure it is open. |

| lower Right side, in the back by the bell housing?
That is the crankcase breather pipe, it is tapped into the cavity where the pushrods run and excess oil (and condensation) from the valve oilers runs out of that pipe too. The coolant drain is on the front left side of the block. |

| Thankd for the info. Mine had a 3/8 street ell screwed into block, with a 2" nipple screwed in that. Is that the way it is supposed to be? |

| Ahh, thats what I figured. I pulled it out but it was getting too dark to tell, plus it seemed a bit oily. This thing has been sitting a good long time. Thanks. |
