Bearing cap on a 54 Super H?

Was wondering if a rear main bearing cap from a 300 will work on a 54 Super H? Super H was run for a long time and allowed the crank to "woller" out the rear main cap and block. If not will any other type of cap work? Thanks

The cap may fit and work but it would require line boring the block.

The same crankshaft was used from the H to the 350 from what I have read, so the bore should be the same. Like was said, you can't just bolt it in and go, it needs to be bored since there will be slight variations in the castings.
