I am trying to remove my number 4 injector on my md to put new seals and rings on the injector to stop a leak and i have come to find out that the injector will not come out of the head. I did some research and the last time we had the injectors out were in 1972. Any ideas on how i could get them out?

Two good heal bars sometimes work. Back in the day we also had wedges made out of flat bar that would fit between the studs and the injector body, one on each side and drove them in. Usually they would work their way out.
A little PB Blaster may help also.
good luck

The best way i have found is my Zep penetrating oil my brass drift and a hammer then my injector pullers . spray today remove tomorrow . couple good hard hits spray a bit a couple more hits spray and walk away and they will usually come out . Now the precup sometimes can be a pain.

ya, but you wont get the injector out with that puller, your just dissasembling the injector on the tractor. he needs to remove the complete injector and precup to replace the 2 seals and dust seal.

Yes you can. I through bolted the injector and pulled it out. I then flipped the puller 90 degrees and used the tapped fine thread holes to pull out the nozzle body retainer. The hole spacing is the same for the injector and the nozzle body retainer so you can use the same puller. Like I said, it takes a lot more slide hammer than the one shown to pull out the nozzle body retainers.
