I need to restore the oil in my SH hydraulics as I re-assemble the hoses. What is best for this Hyd system? I have a manual for SH but no reference for this stage II system. Also I lost O-ring from hyd maniflod that bolts to pump.Is it suitable to just match up new ones at NAPA? thanks ,Randy |

| Hytran or anything that meets Hytran specs. Unlike the belly pump you don't have to worry about leaks from the 10 weight equivalent fluid. |

| For what little oil capacity the Super H Stage II reservoir has, a few extra dollars for the water-trapping additives of the hytran, and guaranteed compatibility with 99.9% of the fluid that would be in any used farm implement you buy, it's worth it IMHO.
If $$$ are that important, get the generic "Hytran compatible" fluid at Tractor Supply, WalMart, or whatever farm supply is nearby.
Deere's Hygard is also made to the same spec, so if you've only got green dealers nearby that's an option too.
Frankly, I've had a hard time finding "non detergent" motor oil in anything but generic brand quarts. |

Hytran wasn't around in the 50's. That system would function on a straight weight oil. Hytran wouldn't hurt it, but why spend the extra money unless you don't care about money.. |

Because every implement in the world today runs on hydraulic fluid. Hook up to one of those and your engine oil just contaminated the system. |

| Good rule of thumb: Any time you use the words Farmall and hydraulics in the same sentence, the correct answer is "Hytran." |
