Tractor Vet - Mounted Corn Picker

Tractor Vet,
I saw in a post that you commented about mounted corn pickers. I have recently purchased an IH 234 picker that I am going to mount it on a 706 with a 3pt hitch. My dad still has his NI 319 picker that we mounted to an IH 656 with standard drawbar. I would like to be able to mount the 319 on the 706. I know there are differences between the two tractors. Also, I read that you had made brackets to mount the New Idea pickers to the 706. I was wondering if you still had brackets to buy for this mounting? I don't have cutters or welders to do this on my own. Thanks!

If you go back and read the entire string TV and others talked about NI making brackets to mount the pickers on most tractor models. Some indicated that the biggest difference between tractors was the axel brackets with different size brackets needed for different IH models. The 656 had a relatively small frame being the decedent of the "M". The 706 was a larger frame and had thicker axel housings and the same brackets will not work. If you post a request in the Want Ads you might be able to pick up a set of correct brackets for your 706.
