Ok boys and girls got another good one for ya. I have a #31 loader on my ole H I am hooked up to the right and front left ports coming out of the belly pump for the loader --- can I use 2 ball vavles and shut off the loader and hook up to the rear left port for a differnt hyd cly.. Like a lifting boom or a log spliter say ?

Yes, that will work given valves that are up to taking the pressure of a hyd system. I run the loader off the front ports and the remote cylinder on the haybine off the rear. I only use the loader in winter as it makes the steering rather heavy for hayfield work.

You can, but it has a pressure sensitive delay built in to its operation. That port is connected to internal valving. I think you would be happier (try it as you describe first) with a third ball valve Tee'd into the left front port. Do not use pluming valves. only hydraulic rated valves 1500 psi working pressure would be fine (though the tractor wount get to that pressure). Jim

It will work fine. The pressure sensitive delay lift is a separate external valve that has to be hooked into the port outside of pump. In over 50 years of working on these pumps I have never even seen one except in the parts manual.
