Nasty, Nasty Repair

Hi Guys,

Finally got around to repairin' that darned sheared roll pin in the range selector on my Hydro 70. This joker is just about impossible to get to......

This time I used a grade 8 bolt (the head 'just barely' clears the casting in hi). Will see how that holds up. :>(

Hopefully nothing goes wrong and you really do some damage when that bolt doesn't shear.

That is something that IH should have been doing all along. The wimpy shifters and transmission controls on several later tractors should have been as robust and stiff as the M shifter. Putting heim joints and thick rods with real sealed ball bearings in the quadrant would have cost 5 dollars, and madr the reputation more solid.
Dear Allen, How has the experimental exhaust accessory worked out now that you have field tested it for some time? Jim
