400 cyclo planter used parts

WE have a problem and need your help ....we need a goood used parts source for a IHC 400 CYCLO planter ,,, need the fertilizer power shaft and shifting cogs,.. thanx jim
 
I've seen 3-4 complete 400 Cyclo planters for sale around here on the local Craigslists, cheap. Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse NY.
 
i have a 400 carcass that came with a farm i bought. it is on my trailer now, waiting for a trip to the scrapyard. can you find the page on the 400 parts breakdown and give me part #s for what you need?

Don't happen to have a popcorn drum for it do you?

popcorn seed drum ? What if you took the 144 hole seed drum ,, ran duct tape across the holes in the same sequence as the corn drum ,,.. just a thought
 
I have a 400cyclo 6 row wide I'm parting out in central Illinois 3 drums and the manual. Dry fertilizer set up . Planter works good used it last year on corn Fertilizer setup don't work also has insecticide boxes that are complete but I never used,we rotate crop. I picked up a 800 cyclo and don't need the 400 anymore
 

Do that every year to my spare corn drum to plant pumpkins. The soybean drum I have has pockets within a depression that runs around the drum. Maybe if it was just pockets like the corn drum it would work.

been doing some experimentation using a flat head rivet that is installed from the inside, ground flush to the outside and the mandrel popped out.. We'll see how long they stay put without anything holding them...
 
ihcarl66, where are you located in IL? I live in western indiana and need the covering attachments for my 400. [email protected] Shoot me an email if you would. I may be interested in some other parts as well.
