Cub Trans/PTO pilot bushing RR

Alright, have a pilot bushing I'm looking to replace in my cub. Have been to the ATIS forum and read info, very good but doesn't really say how to get pilot bushing out. One guy on this forum states he used a long drillbit. 7/16ths I presume as just eyeballing with tape measure new one is approx. 7/16ths outer dia. and 3/8ths inner. See they make blind hole bearing and bushing removers(slide hammer type)but walls of bushing are so thin(1/32nd?),don't see how it could grip it. Tried to fill bushing with grease inside cavity and used an old PTO shaft to hydraulicly remove it and that did not work. Hmmmmmm. Thank you for your time.

The drill bit will grab the bushing and spin it out. Just get a bit that won't quite go in the hole, and go slow.

Thank you very much for telling me about that thread. The 7/16ths bolt worked. Could not get bolt started initialy, so tapped it with 7/16ths tap for about 2 or 3 turns then bolt went right in. Did not want to press right out however, had tractor in reverse and it simply propelled it forward as I cranked ratchet(craftsman 3/8ths shorter pushbutton release) and I was askeered of twisting off bolt so backed it out and it had about 2 threads worth of bushing on it, removed that and cranked it back in and bushing came right out. Put in new bushing easily with an old pto shaft. Already long story short that thread was a lifesaver. My bushing cost $13.01 with tax from local IH store. Mowed about an hour yesterday evening and so far so good. Again thank you very much everybody for your help!!!
