460 IH farmall fast doesnt move up or down?

My farmall 460 fast hitch does not work up or down. What can i do the check it out? Is it in the valve body under seat or something else?

Yes, check the ball & spring under the seat, its sticking.

Dumb question but i have to ask, it"s not locked in place is it? i can lcok my 2 point in place by removing a couple pins and hooking to to two stationary arms on the tractor.

I will check to make sure its not locked. I do think it goes down by it self once in a great while. Is that valve hard to take apart? What should i be a ware of? Thanks for all your help.
