Interesting find - Elwood 4wd for 450?

It's interesting to see a price ($6500) because they don't come up for sale very often. And if they do, they are attached to a tractor.

Personally, I believe the Elwood on my 660 raises its value from $3000-$4000 to over $15,000.

By the way, the seller thinks it will bolt up to a 560. Yes, it will but the buyer will have to change out the sprockets below. That unit will probably fit '39 M through 450 without alteration but it would depend on tire size.

thats only about 12 miles form me and i know th eowner well. it really is a nice front end, not all beat up

i think it would look good under my 560 buuuuuuuuut im not gonna shell out that kinda money. id go buy a 1256 or something else first

In the classifieds this site may be the same one. Same price but central Iowa. Says it fits SMTA, 400, 450 and 560 and May fit early tractors. If its set up for a SMTA to 450 I don't think it would be right for part of the 560 tractors.

I always dream of finding an Elwood unit, and putting it under my 560D.....I also dream of having the $ to do it!

They certainly are neat. I wonder how well they help pull tillage tools?
