Farmall 300/15.5X38tires/Little Genius plow

I have about decided to put 15.5X38" tires on my 55 Farmall 300RC. The existing 12.4's are not great.

Will there be any issue with the 15.5" tire running in the furrow of a IH No.8 Little Genius 2-14" plow?

This is for a 1/2 acre garden that gets plowed 2x's per year. Way over kill I know, but I sure like it

It will mush into the turned earth a bit but no real issue, go for it. Jim

It will not be a problem at all.

We run 20.8 width tires in 16" furrows all the time. You can't even tell after the next pass with the plow.

15.5's will be nice on that 300.

The H and M had those sizes and millions of acres were plowed with a 14in bottom plow. When you look at like 700,000 of them were built and then the acres on the average that were used for plowing it adds up to many millions of acres plowed.

No problem at all.I pull a 14" bottom with a 16.9 tire and a 16" bottom with a 18.4 tire.Heck,I even pulled the 14" plow with the 18.4 tire when I first bought the 1256 before I got the 16" plow.
