just question for you guys...

should I coat my fuel tank? My tractor is PERFECT condition, including the fuel tank. Its not doing to be a a daily user anymore, just wondering if I should just keep it full OR do something like coating the inside of the tank.

you can find more about it look for Colby64 posts

your thought??

I would/will never coat a fuel tank. They never came from the factory that way! Plus my feeling is that the coating could start peeling and then you will really have problems! The filters will stop anything from getting to the injector pump and filters where as pealing paint or coating would plug the outlet of the tank and be much harder to clean. Also to keep that tractor in top shape it needs to be worked under load at least once a week. Those tractors were designed(like us) to work and stay active or they(we) will lose their (our) edge over time. Use it and enjoy!!!!! Armand

I agree with Armand. That tank coating stuff is extremely over-rated and is mostly just a good way to extract money from your wallet.

I won't use a coating either...just asking for trouble.

Any tank I put a tube extending an inch or 2 up into the tank and put a fine screen boot over it. Pull it out once in a while and drain sediment.

I would agree with you only to the extent it applies to a perfectly good tank. If I had a tank that had major rust and scale issues I would consider it. If it looks clean and I never had any issues no way.
