Does anyone know the tourque specs for rods, mains, oil pump and rockers for a 460 diesel with a d236 or where I can find them online? Thanks

Use standard torque unless a special torque is given.

Taken from the IH repair manual GSS-1036-E W/Revision 2.

Special Torques (ft. lbs.)

Bearing cap bolt --------------- 80
Crankshaft pulley nut --------- 95
Flywheel bolts ------------------ 60
Thrust plate bolts -------------- 38
Idler gear shaft bolt ------------88
Crankcase front plate bolts --- 38
Crankcase front cover bolts -- 90
Connecting rod bolts ----------- *
Cylinder head bolts ------------115
Oil pump mounting bolts ------- 22

* Two types of 3/8" x 24 connecting rod bolts are used. These bolts can be identified by appearance and each type has a different torque specification.

1. The PLACE bolts has a head that is either "notched" or concave. Also the shank and thread diameter is nearly the same. This type attains its tension by bending the bolt head It should be torqued to 50 ft. lbs.

2. The PITCH bolt has a standard bolt head with a washer face. The thread diameter is larger than the shank. This type of bolt attains its tension by stretching the shank. It should be torqued to 45 ft. lbs.

those bolts are the same as head torque, as they are just longer to accomodate the rocker shaft.
