TA delete how much discunt

(quoted from post at 09:48:49 02/05/12) Looking at TA delete[never had one] tractor .How much does it hurt their value? Thanks!

I would consider a TA delete to be a plus. If it ain't there, it will never give you any trouble or added expense.

Don't get hung up on a specific "discount."

If anything a bad TA hurts the value more than no TA at all.

Don't be a TA "hater" either. You'll never use the tractor enough in your lifetime to wear it out if it's working now. Same goes if you buy one with a bad TA and fix it. It will outlast you.

yep i second that. very seldom that you get in a bind and need a t.a.you have other gears to pick from.

I wouldn't buy one if it did't have a TA. I could have bought a 300 a couple of years ago with factory delete TA and trans driven PTO, I didn't buy it. If I would have it would have to be several hundred cheaper.

If you are a real user of a TA equipped tractor, and use it as intended, it will last for thousands of hours. (Our 350U has been through two rebuilds and still uses the same TA and TA clutches.)
If you have never had one it will be just fine, what you do not know in this case makes no difference, they are just usable tractors when not equipped with TA. Those who disparage TA equipped tractors give one of the finest productivity gaining clutch saving devices an undeserved bad name. Jim

(quoted from post at 15:57:31 02/05/12) I wouldn't buy one if it did't have a TA. I could have bought a 300 a couple of years ago with factory delete TA and trans driven PTO, I didn't buy it. If I would have it would have to be several hundred cheaper.

The problem with that theory is that people tend to consider TA delete tractors "rare" so they value them on par with TA tractors, or think they're worth MORE...
